Belonging to the agreement between a student and Parents Inc. to participate in a course.
Art. 1 Definitions
- Student: the natural person who applies or is enrolled in a course provided by Parents Inc.
- Registration: the making known by the student to Parents Inc. that he/she wishes to attend a course at Parents Inc. This act counts as an offer to Parents Inc. to enrol in a course.
- Registration: the act of Parents Inc. by which the student's offer is accepted by Parents Inc.
- Course fee: the amount to be paid by the student to Parents Inc. in order to attend the course.
- Course: course, non-funded education or training.
Art. 2 Application and enrollment
- Registration for a course with Parents Inc. takes place exclusively by means of a (digital) registration form.
- By registering, the student agrees to these terms and conditions and the rules found on the Parents Inc. website.
- Registration is considered accepted after Parents Inc confirms the registration to the student digitally. The confirmation serves as proof of enrollment.
- Parents Inc, is entitled to refuse enrollment of a student.
Art. 3 Cancellation and early termination
- The student may cancel the registration without charge within fourteen days after receiving the confirmation mentioned in Article 2 paragraph 3.
- Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph 1, the student may terminate the agreement prematurely at any time after the start of the course.
- In case of cancellation after the period mentioned in paragraph 1 or in case of premature termination, the course participant shall owe Ouders Inc. a compensation to be determined by Ouders Inc. in all fairness. When determining this, account shall be taken, among other things, of the work already carried out by Ouders Inc., the benefit to the student and the ground on which the agreement was terminated. Parents Inc. is entitled to the full price if the termination of the agreement is attributable to the course participant and payment of the full price is reasonable. Any savings for Parents Inc. resulting from the early termination shall be deducted from the price.
- Cancellation and early termination must be made by registered mail.
Art. 4 Course and examination fees
- The amount of the course fee can be found on the Parents Inc. website.
Art. 5 The course
- Parents Inc. has the right to cancel a course before it begins for any reason. In that case, the student is entitled to a refund of the course and exam fees already paid.
- Parents Inc. is entitled to make changes to the program, and course content.
- The agreement is entered into for the duration of the course and ends by the expiration of the course duration, without any further legal act being required.
Art. 6 Copyright
Parents Inc. owns the copyright in the course materials provided to the student, unless the course materials in question expressly state otherwise. No part of this material may be reproduced and/or made public by printing, photocopying, posting on the Internet or any other means without prior permission from Parents Inc. This provision shall survive termination of the agreement.
Art. 7 Liability
Parents Inc. is not liable for any damage, from whatever cause, to students or third parties in connection with the course, unless there is intent and/or gross negligence on the part of Parents Inc.
Art. 8 Final provision
If and to the extent that any provision of these terms and conditions is declared null and void or annulled, the remaining provisions of these terms and conditions shall remain in full force and effect.
